About Us

The Village Club (VC) is a social and philanthropic women’s club providing members with various events and activities. Originally a "newcomers club,” the VC has evolved over the years to include long-term and new residents residing within the borders of School District 103.  The VC is a wonderful way for residents to meet new friends, get involved in activities and learn more about the community in which we live.

The VC calendar runs from September through May.  We start each year with our Kick-Off Coffee, where past and potential members are invited to join the club and sign up for any activities and events that may be of interest to them.  Our season ends with our Spring Luncheon where we vote on the following year’s Board of Directors.  Membership does not require a time commitment – members simply participate in what they like.  A monthly newsletter keeps members informed of all the club’s happenings.

The VC offers activities of special interest including tennis, running, bowling, book clubs, daytime and evening gourmet groups, playgroups, bunko, movies, couples cards, golf and scrapbooking. New activities may be added if there is an interest.

Each year the Village Club plans unique events for members to participate in.  In the past members have enjoyed annual events like the Golf Outing, Fall Luncheon and Holiday Shopping, the Holiday Open House and the Spring Luncheon.  We’ve also offered cooking classes, pottery painting,  girls nights out and more.

In addition, the VC members choose a philanthropy to support each year.  We are proud to assist A Safe Place for our 2009-2010 year.  A Safe Place provides services that address domestic violence for women and children in our communities. For more information on A Safe Place go to www.asafeplaceforhelp.org.

We welcome all women in the School District 103 area to join the Village Club!
